CAESAR II comes built in with many user-friendly and solution-provided features that help you to generate an accurate model for your piping needs. The Classic Piping Input is comprised of multiple input panels, which allow the creation or review of piping components. In addition, recent versions of CAESAR II include many new time-saving functions in the displayed toolbars, including:

Just the Way You Like It – Customized Toolbars

Did you know you can customize CAESAR II toolbars with your favorite options? Sometimes you use an option often, but it isn’t on the provided toolbars or doesn’t appear in the location that makes the most sense to you. To add the option to any CAESAR II toolbar, click on the down-arrow next to the option in its existing location, and select Add or Remove Buttons > Customize.

You can view legends for Materials, Piping Codes, Insulation, Pipe Diameters, and Wall Thicknesses. In addition, there are legends for Forces Data, Uniform Loads, Wind and Wave Data, Temperatures, Pressures, Corrosion Details, and Densities (Pipe, Fluid, and Insulation).

There are also readily-accessible options that take you to some of the most used dialogs in CAESAR II, such as: 

  • Display Line Numbers


  • Add/Specify Valves and Flanges


  • Model Expansion Joints


  • Add Loops on Static Seismic for Optimizing Stresses/Reactions 
Select the Commands tab and find the option in the list. Then, click and drag the option to inside of any toolbar in CAESAR II.
