Viewing Both Input and Output at the Same Time

One of the tasks after performing analysis in CAESAR II could be to modify the model based on those results. It may be to reduce stress in the pipe or load on some equipment.

Simultaneously having access to both input and output is very handy. Here is how to do it. Once you have analyzed the job, go back to the input and you will see the “CAESAR Tools” toolbar.

The first pyramid icon, as you know, is the load case editor. This icon is active if you have error- checked the model. The second pyramid icon is active if you have analyzed results ready to review. So click on the output reports icon to see the results along with the input.

As you start making changes in your model, the load case editor icon becomes gray, indicating your model needs to be error-checked. This is OK. You may finish making all your edits at this time.
After finishing your edits, click the error-check button. At this time, the output reports icon grays out, indicating that now your results are old and you need to re-run the analysis.

Have Your CAESAR II Display Set Up Just the Way You Want It?

Did you know you can save your current display and toolbar settings in CAESAR II? This is handy if you have to re-install the software, because you do not have to spend time resetting all your previous settings. You can just restore them!

1. Open the Registry Editor.

2. Locate the tree “HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftware/ Intergraph CAS/CAESAR II/your CAESAR II version number/Options.”

3. Right-click and select Export to save the registry to an easily accessed location.

4. Later, you can double-click on the file and accept the prompts to restore the settings. This also works for all special icons (buttons) that you create with the Customize option.
